" It's always time to Go Indie Now."

For this Q & A I asked Azaa'a if she wouldn't mind do the Coffee Break questions, seeing how we just started the 4th season of  that show.  this by no means doesn't mean you won't get include insight, quite the contrary. Azaa'a fell in love with reading as a high school freshman and continues to read, write, and draw today. Her background in social work helps her portray realistic characters in otherworldly—and sometimes terrifying—situations. A New York native, Azaa'a currently lives in New Hampshire (USA) with her husband and daughter. Azaa'a debuts with This Time, A Nadira Holden Novel, about demon hunters, family ties and the magic of love.
Azaa'a is working diligently to finish writing more fantasy novels while raising her daughter. Her next book is expected to be released in early 2019. Thank you for showing an interest in her stories!

Coming into discovering what you have a passion for as an Indie Artist, name 1 thing you found that you absolutely loved that you never thought you would about being an indie artist?
I’m an indie author and I never thought I would like creating promotional images as much as I do. In an effort to keep cost down, I’ve taught myself how to make images that send a clear, fun message. Using Canva, it’s easy to experiment and come up with promotional material that is very aesthetically pleasing. It definitely takes time, but I encourage indies to check it out. While ebook covers can be made on Canva as well, I leave that to professional cover artists.

Offer 1 element of your story you think people should pay more attention to than they already do?
Readers often mention the detailed action scenes and the simmering romance. I think that This Time also explores the intricate relationships between family, friends and team members bound by love, obligations, and morals. For example, Nadira cannot move on without rescuing her father first, even though they have a complicated relationship that only gets tougher as the story progresses.

Fortunate and luck come into play a lot in artist's lives but name 1 thing as an artist that you feel fortunate and luck have nothing to do with in terms of being successful.
I’m encouraged by my husband, family, and friends to write novels. I feel very fortunate that those closest to me know about my blossoming writing career and are supportive. Whether they buy my books or not, whether they read my books or not, just knowing those I love want me to do well warms my heart.

Fearing failure or fearing success, fear is an artist's most prominent fights, give 1 way in which you fight off self doubt or prepare yourself for self stardom.
Some days, it still seems unreal that I achieved my life goal of becoming a published author. Self-doubt never really goes away. However, I do not let it take hold or overwhelm me. I've always been an optimistic person, and I protect my high self-esteem. I simply try my best and let whatever is going to happen unfold as it must. I trust myself and that things in life will work out.

Everyone starts off a fan, some of us get lucky to meet or fulfill our fandoms. What has being a fan taught you or given you to think about how you might be when a fan approaches you?
Great question! I think kindness and humility goes a long way. I don't expect the stars I admire to give away a lot of free stuff, share their secret ingredients or give up their privacy. I expect them to appreciate their impact on others, value their fans and use their influence responsibly. So far, I've only interacted with fans online (other than family and friends that read what I write). I'm happy and humbled that someone else values the stories and characters I create. It's absolutely motivating. I strive to let my fans know that I want to hear from them, that their feedback will influence my work and that their admiration keeps me going when writing gets tough.
